PipCoin

PipCoin was a social mobile tipping platform — drop a coin in anyone’s pip jar to show appreciation. Friends, coworkers, bands, baristas, anyone.

I designed the full product experience across iOS and web, from onboarding through the daily give and receive flows. The core challenge was making an unfamiliar gesture (tipping people you know) feel natural and low-friction. The give flow had to be fast enough to happen in the moment — at a show, after a meeting, walking out of a coffee shop.
